The Bonhams auction kicks off the Monaco Historic Grand Prix and is being held at the Fairmont Hotel in Monaco. There is a fine selection of cars, though some are not shown to their best advantage—such as the Lamborghini Sian and the Mercedes SLR722S, which are on display in the hotel hallway, directly against the light.
There were quite a few great cars at this auction, including a Lamborghini LM002—as stunning as ever—a british racing green Ferrari 812 Competizione Aperta, and a Ferrari 365 GTB4 GrIV.
There was a rather interesting lineup of Group N and DTM cars.
The catalog also featured a few classics, such as a Mercedes 300 SL convertible, a Maserati Ghibli, and a Ferrari 512 BBi, but the real rarity was a Ferrari Testarossa whose Blue Scuro color was clearly out of the ordinary, of which only two were ordered out of the 7,177 units produced. That's what you might call a potential collector's item;
