Virage After 20 years of loyal service, the V8 makes way for its successor, the Virage. Even under Ford’s ownership, Aston Martin sticks to its tried-and-true formula, both in terms of mechanics and design—a style some might find too conservative. The lines are taut, the headlights are simple, and there are no frills. To compensate for this slight lack of charisma, a widebody look and a 6.3L engine option are available. A “Brake de Chasse” conversion is also offered, as well as a 4-door version and even a 4-door station wagon, called the Vacances. The lateral scoopes of the widebody version was later fitted on the standard version.
